Dismantling, repairing and assembling belt and chain driven systems to restore a machine to an operational condition.

To enter a learning programme for this unit standard or to be assessed against this unit standard, the learner is assumed to have:

UNIT STANDARD RANGE 
The scope of this unit standard deals dismantling, repairing and assembling belt chain driven systems including but not limited to : conveyor belts, implements, lifts and production machinery and adjusting height, alignment, tension and clearances according to manufacturer's specifications.

The specific outcomes as reflected in this unit standard are performed without direct supervision, but with access to work-site procedures and operating instructions and manufacturer's manuals.
