PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is intended for people who trade on the various desks, conduct the treasurer function and monitor risk. Learners are able to operate applicable trading systems, word processing and spreadsheeting systems and company specific information providing systems. 

LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
Learners are required to have working knowledge of trading procedures. It is therefore recommended that they complete unit standards TD006.

UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
Accreditation process (including moderation):
  • Anyone assessing a learner against a unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA.
  • Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this unit standard or assessing this unit standard must be accredited as a provider with the relevant ETQA.
  • Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA according to the moderation guidelines in the relevant qualification and the agreed ETQA procedures.

    Therefore, anyone wishing to be assessed against this unit standard may apply to be assessed by any assessment agency, assessor or provider institution, which is accredited by the relevant ETQA.

    The learner will collect, organise and critically evaluate information when compiling client balances, cashflow forecasts, prices, rates and market situation information that is integrated into the deal. 

    UNIT STANDARD CCFO SCIENCE 
    The learner will display the ability to use science and technology effectively and critically when capturing deals into trading systems, and using applicable word processing and spreadsheeting systems. The learners will further demonstrate this skill when using and applying various models on the information providing system to execute deals.
