Persons credited with this unit standard are able to explain basic operating principles of valves, pumps, filters, screens and strainers and pipes and pipe fittings. They will also be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic lubrication principles and knowledge and understanding of general operating routines and activities in water treatment.
