  • Analyse on information parameters that impact on the effectiveness of the supply chain.
  • Facilitate processes for effective decision making regarding supply chain information systems.
  • Analyse the effectiveness and make recommendations to improve supply chain information systems.

    The need for integrated supply chain information is determined and evaluated to indicate its positive and negative effects on integrated supply chain information systems. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Fundamental information parameters are determined to measure their impact on the effectiveness of the supply chain. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    The supply chain processes are articulated indicating the information requirements that are needed for success in each of the process elements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    An impact analysis of customized demand information sharing on supply chain performance is conducted. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2 
    Facilitate processes for effective decision making regarding supply chain information systems.

    Stakeholders that should be part of a decision making process regarding the selection of supply chain information systems are identified. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    The capabilities and capacities of available information systems are identified and evaluated to determine best approaches and associated risks. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    A decision is made on the best solutions taking into account the risks identified to inform planning and managing processes. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    An integrated proposal is presented for approval in accordance with organisational procedure. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 3 
    Analyse the effectiveness of and make recommendations to improve supply chain information systems.

    Criteria for effective information systems are generated in accordance with needs and stakeholder requirements. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    The effectiveness of the supply chain information systems is measured in accordance with the agreed criteria. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    Processes to improve the integration of information systems are determined and implemented in accordance with the agreed criteria. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    Improvements are indicated on the supply chain flow chart to reflect where opportunities are for the integration of information. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 5 
    An information system map is produced to reflect the areas where required information is not available or in the incorrect format. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 6 
    Improvements to the system or to the use of the system are recommended in accordance with the findings of the analysis.
