PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is for horse handlers in the field of law enforcement especially in a policing environment who need to execute policing functions and tasks with horses in dangerous situations. The learners will also be able to assess the situation in a controlled scenario, move tactically in an urban environment and overcome obstacles in an urban environment with climbing techniques. They will also be able to use a horse by employing tactical techniques in a controlled scenario and handle incidents related to a horse.
