    The changing roles of the community development worker is explained for various different situations.

    Changing roles may include but are not limited to facilitator, mediator, advocate, lobbying, counsellor, coach, negotiator and organiser.

    The concepts of capacity building and sustainability are explained in relation to community development. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    An explanation of the principles and values of capacity building for sustainable community development is given.

    Principles may include but are not limited people centred, participatory and strengths based transformation.

    An integrated capacity building project is planned and monitored for a particular context.

  • An individual wishing to be assessed (including through RPL) against this unit standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant ETQA or an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding in place with the relevant ETQA.
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA or an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding in place with the relevant ETQA.
