PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The qualifying learner will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to assist in a team to erect and dismantle a basic scaffold system. A basic scaffold system includes access tower, mobile and fixed independent scaffold and bird cage scaffold. The qualifying learner will perform all tasks under supervision and instruction. This unit standard will serve, in conjunction with related unit standards, to develop the qualifying learner to function as a fixer in an access scaffold team.
