PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
Learners who are assessed as competent against this unit standard will be able to work on a construction site installing reinforcing. This will entail identifying and describing different types and features of reinforcing drawings to locate structures on-site, determine requirements and plan work sequences.

The qualifying learner will be capable of:
  • Identifying and describing features of reinforcing drawings.
  • Using key drawings to locate structures on site.
  • Determining requirements for structures.
  • Planning work sequences.
  • Control the use of construction documentation.

  • Any institution offering learning that will enable achievement of this Unit Standard must be accredited by the relevant ETQA.
