PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The learner is capable of establishing the status and value of a used vehicle with a view to bring such vehicle into the organisations used vehicle trading stock and to enhance the buying/selling opportunity of another vehicle.
This unit standard makes provision for the automotive retail industry with special reference to appraising and valuating second hand vehicles in the following categories; Light commercial vehicles; passenger vehicles; recreational vehicles; Motor cycles; Tri-cycles; Quad cycles; Boats, light and heavy commercial vehicles, agricultural vehicles and Off Road (ATR) vehicles.
