PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard is intended for individuals dealing with the provision of advice and the selling and promotion of hair care products/product ranges through customer interaction in a retail environment.
Individuals credited with this unit standard will be able to demonstrate knowledge applicable to hair care in order to add value to customer service in the retail environment, through the identification of most appropriate products, the correct communication of product features, benefits, use and application according to client/customer needs, based on the analysis of the individuals hair care requirements, hair type and condition. Product as well as cosmetology knowledge gained will enable effective problem solving, trouble-shooting and the addressing of customer needs in accordance with the standard operational procedures and specifications of the product manufacturer and the organisation.
