PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is intended for people in the Wholesale and Retail (W&R) industry who deal directly with customers applying for credit.

They communicate organisational policies and procedures for the granting of credit, they process the credit application, they communicate the result of the application and are responsible for the applicable administration.

Qualifying learners will be capable of:
  • Explaining credit legislation and organisational policies.
  • Assessing and validating the credit application and supporting documentation.
  • Communicating the credit decision.
  • Controlling the finalisation of administrative documentation.
