    An overview is given of the prevalent social and cultural demographics within the area of operation. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Social and cultural demographics include the customs, cultural, traditional and religious practices as it apply to the communities in which an event will take place.
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Principles of responsible event planning are explained as it relates to due consideration of cultural and social impact on the community in which an event will take place. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    The involvement of local communities in the event planning process is explained as to ensure due consideration of social and cultural impact on issues relevant to events. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Involvement includes establishing of cooperative structures, building a local tourism culture, supporting local development and education, respecting local customs and cultures.

    Principles of responsible event planning is explained as it relates to due consideration of economic impact on the community in which an event will take place.

    Economic impact local marketing and product development, community economic benefit, promoting of linkages and equitable business practices.

    The involvement of local communities in the event planning process is explained as to ensure due consideration of economic benefits and impact on issues relevant to events.

    Principles of responsible event planning is explained as it relates to due consideration of environmental impact on the community in which an event will take place. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    An overview is given of the environmental issues for consideration within the area of operation. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Environmental issues includes reduction of negative environmental impacts and optimising of positive environmental impacts, including waste management, use of recycled and reusable material where appropriate, energy utilisation including heating, lighting and the operation of remote appliances, water usage, drainage and water run-off.
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    The involvement of local communities in the event planning process is explained as to ensure due consideration of environmental impact on issues relevant to events. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Environmental impact includes direct and indirect environmental impact, energy consumption, and water usage including pollutants and drainage, adherence to sound environmental practices.
