PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
The learner achieving this unit standard will be able to conduct an effective practical demonstration of skills that are drawn from the field of lifeguarding in South Africa. The benefit to the learner will be the practice and improvement of relevant lifeguarding skills as well as the ability to provide an educational service related to lifeguarding. The sub-field will benefit by having wider public access to the operations of lifeguards as well as developing interest for new entrants into the field and also educating members of the public on issues related to their own safety.
