PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard will be useful to people responsible for recovering diamonds by means of hand sorting. People credited with this unit standard are able to:
  • Demonstrate knowledge relating to the recovery of diamonds by means of hand sorting.
  • Prepare to recover diamonds.
  • Recover diamonds.
  • Complete the duties pertaining to the recovery process.
