PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This unit standard is intended for people who work in the buying/planning function of an organisation. They are responsible for choosing products and ranges of products to sell in their stores.

Persons credited with this unit standard will be able to identify factors impacting on range and product selection in their organisation, select products from a product range review the performance of their range in order to improve product selection in the future.

    Changes to the existing range are made and the rationale for proposed changes is explained according to determining factors and criteria used for decision-making. 


    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this unit standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA or an ETQA; which has a MOU with the relevant ETQA.
  • Moderation of assessment will be overseen by the relevant ETQA, according to the moderation guidelines in the relevant qualification and the agreed ETQA procedures.
