| PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
| This unit is to enable learners to monitor, observe and direct crowds. These learners will be able to respond to the behaviour and direction of persons. Learners will be able inspect and provide security presence at a venue, monitor crowd size movement, stress, behaviour and safety, react to potential crowd problems and breaches of sporting etiquette, direct crowds at special events, prepare to monitor and respond to unlawful or suspicious incidents.
