PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The concept of Team Resource Management (TRM) is an accepted practice within industry and is intended to positively influence the learner's inter-team and intra-team behaviours. Learners will understand the influence of human performance, including human physiological systems, human information processing, human behaviour and personal health factors, in the work environment. It is intended to show how human capabilities and limitations can influence task performance and safety in the work environment.

A person credited with this unit standard is able to:
  • Explain concepts associated with Human Factors (HF).
  • Explain concepts associated with team resource management (TRM).
  • Apply team resource management (TRM) concepts in a specific work context.

    Learners who have achieved this unit standard will increase their opportunities for professional development and employability within the Aviation industry.
