This unit standard is intended for people who need to install and commission photocopiers:

  • For those working in, or entering the workplace in Hardware and Infrastructure Maintenance and Support.
  • As additional knowledge for those wanting to understand the areas covered.

    People credited with this unit standard are able to:
  • Describe the components of photocopiers.
  • Plan the installation of photocopiers.
  • Install photocopiers.
  • Review installation of photocopiers.

    The performance of all outcomes is to a level that allows for further learning in this area.

    The credit value of this unit standard is calculated assuming a person has the prior knowledge and skills to:

  • The relevant Education and Training Quality Authority (ETQA) must accredit providers before they can offer programmes of education and training assessed against unit standards.
  • An assessor, accredited by the relevant ETQA, will assess the learner`s competency.
