To understand the functions that the core and grab procedures play in ensuring the correct allocation of grading and valuation of the wool and mohair fibre for auctioneering.

The Personal protective clothing is used correctly during the coring and grabbing of wool and mohair samples. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
The correct uses of PPE during the coring and grabbing of wool and mohair samples are demonstrated. 

ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
The ability to stop all mechanical equipment involved in the coring and grabbing of samples through the use of 'emergency stops' is demonstrated.

The safety operating procedures relevant to the coring and grabbing function are explained.

The importance of good housekeeping practices is described.
