PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD |
This unit standard will be utilised by learners who will be required to work in an Air Visual Reconnaissance operational environment and conduct Air Visual Reconnaissance (AVR) operations.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA |

Locations are plotted on a map by means of grid references. |

Grid references include Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), latitude and longitude and arbitrary grids. |

Routes are plotted and drawn on a map in terms of bearing, distance, speed, height, altitude, way points and flying patterns. |

Initial Points on route to the target area are selected as a reference point in terms of identifiable visual features. |
