PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard is able to lay and fit veneer inlays following safe working procedures.

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Selecting and preparing materials.
  • Selecting and preparing equipment and tools.
  • Selecting and preparing adhesives
  • Laying veneers
  • Fitting inlays 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence in numeracy and literacy equivalent to NQF level 2. They will also have achieved, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence to, the National Certificate in Furniture Wood Machining and Cabinet Making, NQF level 2.
