Diagnose motor vehicle air conditioners and repair the relevant faults.

    Diagnose air conditioners in vehicles. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERIA
     

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1 
    Gauge sets are connected and hoses purged. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Pressure is checked according to specifications. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    Engine is started and run between 1500 and 2000 revolutions per minute. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    Air conditioners are activated and run on low fan speed. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 5 
    Cycling parameters are checked. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 6 
    Thermometers are inserted and temperatures are checked according to specifications.

    Faults are determined.

    Vibration and noise for mechanical faults are ascertained.

    An inspection is made to ensure that all covers, brackets and insulation are replaced.
