The key function of the organisation is determined so as to be able to understand its finance needs and the people it serves. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 |
The type of people and organisations that are likely to support the organisation are determined using data available from the organisation. |

Other organisations operating in the same field are identified to determine who else might be seeking funding from the same target audience. |

Analyse the fundraising strategy of the organisation. |

The fundraising strategies that have been used by the organisation over the past three years are analysed and the type of activity and their frequency of use listed in tabular form. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 |
The target audience (individuals) for each of the fundraising activities is determined in terms of their socio-economic group, age group, sex, language and income group. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 |
The target audience (companies) for each of the fundraising activities is determined in terms of the business sector in which they operate, their turnover and staff size. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 |
The degree to which each category of individual and organisation has supported the fundraising ventures is determined so as to aid decisions regarding future target audiences. |
ASSESSMENT CRITERION 5 |
Changes in the strategies over the three year period are pinpointed and the possible reasons for the changes are proposed in a written summary. |

Determine what role is played in strategy design and implementation by organisation members. |

The role played by organisation staff members and management members in drawing up the strategy is determined through interviews with members of the organisation and presented in the form of a written report. |

The role played by staff members in implementing the strategy is determined through interviews with staff members and presented in the form of a written report. |

The way in which amendments to the strategy are made is determined through interviews with staff members and presented in the form of a written report |

The authority that the facilitator/coordinator of a fundraising venture has to make changes to the venture is investigated and a written report submitted detailing the effect of such authority being delegated. |
