  • Perform activities which will ensure production efficiency is maintained.
  • Perform activities which will maintain quality, safety, health or environmental standards.
  • Ensure workspace and equipment is kept clean, tidy and in best operating condition.

    It also reflects the understanding of:
  • The implications of changes in the printing and production processes.
  • The need to respond quickly to changes.
  • The techniques used to ensure that no preventable changes take place.

    Monitor the printing or packaging equipment and respond to changes. 
    OUTCOME RANGE 
    Monitoring includes observing machinery operation during the normal operating cycle. Responding includes informing appropriate parties or taking corrective action restricted to appropriate elements of learners' responsibility.

    Changes which affect the printing or packaging process are recognised and reported to in accordance with set standards. 
    ASSESSMENT CRITERION RANGE 
    Reports could be oral or written, including the completion of any related documentation.

    Evidence on the printing or packaging process is collected and presented within a specified timeline.
