PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
This Unit Standard is intended for persons who conduct administrative functions in the middle and back office in an Asset Management environment.

A person credited with this Unit Standard will be able to:
  • Identify system maintenance requirements.
  • Construct links required by the various systems for internal and external straight through processing (STP).
  • Manage data imports and exports. 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    It is assumed that learners are competent in:
  • Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 4
  • Communication at NQF Level 4
  • The National Diploma in Asset Management: Level 5.

    Identify system maintenance requirements.

    Data inputs required by the systems are identified and explained as per the specifications of each system. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2 
    Terminology used in data maintenance by the systems is explained as per the specifications of related systems. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3 
    The impacts relating to different systems data inputs are identified and explained as per the specifications of related systems. 

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4 
    The relationships between different systems are identified and explained as per the integration of related systems. 

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2 
    Construct links required by the various systems for internal and external straight through processing (STP).

    Structure and integration rules of each system are explained in accordance with company-defined requirements.

    System breakdowns are investigated and integration is re-established as per company-defined requirements.

    UNIT STANDARD ACCREDITATION AND MODERATION OPTIONS 
  • An individual wishing to be assessed (including through RPL) against this Unit Standard may apply to an assessment agency, assessor or provider institution accredited by the relevant ETQA, or an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA.
  • Anyone assessing a learner against this Unit Standard must be registered as an assessor with the relevant ETQA or with an ETQA that has a Memorandum of Understanding with the relevant ETQA
