PURPOSE OF THE UNIT STANDARD 
The person credited with this unit standard is able to describe the purpose and structure of teams within the hiring working environment. Learners are able to describe the role players in a team and evaluate the effectiveness of the team as well as their own performance within the team

The qualifying learner is capable of:
  • Identifying the structure and purpose of a team
  • Describing and apply the roles and responsibilities required to work in a team
  • Identifying factors that affect a team in the workplace
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of a team and own participation in the team 

  • LEARNING ASSUMED TO BE IN PLACE AND RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING 
    Learners accessing this qualification will have demonstrated competence in numeracy and literacy at NQF Level 4 or equivalent.

  • Team structures include but are not limited to: team leader, second in charge.
  • Factors affecting a team could include but are not limited to: disputes, moving of targets, changing of objectives, deadlines, additional work on team members, losing of team members.
