    Specific Outcomes and Assessment Criteria:

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 1
    Prepare to label product containers.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1
    1. The status of the equipment is established from hand over documentation, according to Company requirements, and the equipment is ensured to be safe for use.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 2
    2. The labeling equipment is correctly configured for the particular product specifications, or adjusted as required.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 3
    3. Any faults within the operator's scope are repaired. System faults, and faults which are not the responsibility of the operator, are reported to the right persons.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 4
    4. There is enough suitable labelling material for planned and expected production, and it is correctly loaded. Shortages are reported to the supply point promptly so that production time is not lost.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 5
    5. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn so that it protects the operator. All protective equipment is worn or used as described in the maker's instructions, company policy and safety legislation.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 6
    6. The work environment is clean and free from hazards in line with documented best practice and standard operating procedures.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 7
    7. Production services are checked and confirmed as being ready and available for use at the agreed time. Any shortages are reported without delay so that there is no lost production.

    SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2
    Operate automated labelling equipment.

    ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

    ASSESSMENT CRITERION 1

PROVIDERS CURRENTLY ACCREDITED TO OFFER THIS UNIT STANDARD:
This information shows the current accreditations (i.e. those not past their accreditation end dates), and is the most complete record available to SAQA as of today. Some Primary or Delegated Quality Assurance Functionaries have a lag in their recording systems for provider accreditation, in turn leading to a lag in notifying SAQA of all the providers that they have accredited to offer qualifications and unit standards, as well as any extensions to accreditation end dates. The relevant Primary or Delegated Quality Assurance Functionary should be notified if a record appears to be missing from here.
